Opening Segment:

Nexus is in the ring, Wade Barret said the GM emailed him to start the show in the ring to face the appropriate consequences.  He says they did what they did because of a much bigger picture.  Said that Mr. McMahon thought he controlled them but was not the case.  Skip Sheffield then talks about what they did to Ricky Steamboat last week and that they did it for fun because they found a loophole in the GM's ruling.  Then goes on to say the fans loved every second of it.  Then he says that Steamboat should thank them for bringing more attention to his DVD.  The GM sends an email and says that the punishment for Nexus is that none of them can compete for a WWE title until further notice but the no fighting with other WWE superstars has been lifted.  Out comes John Cena.  Cena says that they have never got themselves into a fair fight.  He says then it will be 7 on 7.  Out comes Randy Orton, R Truth, Evan Borne, John Morrison, Tyson Kidd, and David Hart Smith.  Before they can get to Nexus, Sheamus, Miz, the Usos, Jericho, Edge, & Ted DiBiase attack Cena and his gang.  Cena's group gets the upper hand though Sheamus says that because Nexus seems to be targeting Bret Hart & John Cena that they actually support Nexus.  Randy Orton then challenges them to a match before the GM interrupts.  He says the 8 men in the Money In The Bank will face off in a series of matches and John Cena will meet Wade Barrett in the ring, for a hand shake.  Cena says that he will instead punch Barrett.  The GM emails back and says that Cena needs to be the bigger man and that's the bottom line because the GM says so.  This is leading people to believe that Stone Cold is the GM...but is it a swerve?

Match 1: Ted DiBiase vs. John Morrison

Winner: Ted Dibiase via Dream Street

In the back Santino is walking with Vladimir Kozlov saying they will become the greatest tag team ever.  Kozlov is not amused.

Match 2: Santino Morella & Vladimir Kozlov vs.William Regal & Great Khali

William Regal comes out and says they made an enemy out of him.  He then announces his tag team partner, Great Khali.

Winners: Santino & Vladimir when Vlad pinned Regal

After the match Khali asks Santino and Vlad to life Regal then Khali hits Regal in the head.  Then Santino & Khali dance while Kozlov shakes his head

Back from commercial King gets serious and talks about how Nexus were not professionals by blowing out someone elses "candle".  They then show the replay from last week.

In the back Arn Anderson is being interviewed by Josh Matthews.  He aks about the health status of Steamboat.  He says he's not sure but its serious.  Sheamus is then standing behind Arn and tells him to cry him a river.  He says he used to be the enforcer but is now just an old man.  They go back and forth about Sheamus's decision to ignore Nexus.

Match 3: R-Truth vs. The Miz

Miz comes out with his own rap that is actually a bit better than Truth's. He then hits Truth with the microphone before the match starts.

Winner:  No contest as the Miz beats down Truth outside the ring.  Truth is helped out to the back.  Miz goes on to insult Truth as he is helped to the back.  Miz then goes on to say he is going to do the same to everyone that he faces and goes on to steal Truth's catchphrase before going into his own.

Edge comes out for his "Cutting Edge" segment.  He then talks about how he is going to let the Nexus attack slide so he can make 7 allies instead of enemies.  He then says by winning the Money In The Bank is equivelant to winning the championship.  He then brings out his guests Evan Borne though Jericho comes out instead.  Jericho says he doesn't take a backseat to anyone.  Jericho then takes credit for Nexus based on his influence as Wade Barrett's mentor on NXT.  Edge asks why they would listen to a guy that could barely beat Evan Borne.  Jericho then goes on to say Edge has wanted to be like Jericho since Edge got to the WWE and that Jericho can't be replaced and that he will guarantee that Edge will never get a title match again.  Edge then attacks Jericho .  Jericho reverses it and puts him in the walls of Jericho though for some reason Evan Borne comes out for the save and attacks Jericho.  Edge & Jericho team up against him then the GM sends an email setting up the match and uses a Stone Cold catchphrase.  Setting up the match of Edge & Jericho vs Borne & Randy Orton.

Match 4: Chris Jericho & Edge vs. Randy Orton & Evan Borne

Winners: Evan Borne & Randy Orton when Borne pins Jericho

After the match during the celebration Orton hits an RKO on Borne for no apparent reason.

In the back Orton meets up with Nexus.  Nexus says they just want to talk and that they only attacked him because they wanted to make a statement against WWE management.  They then tell Orton that they will stay out of his match at Money In The Bank.  They then say they want him to ignore Cena next time he asks for help, Orton tells them to get out of his face.

They then announce that R-Truth won't be able to compete in the Money In the Bank Ladder Match so there is a mystery opponent right now.

Josh Matthews then announces that WWE Tag Championships will be on the line at Money In The Bank as the Hart Dynasty will face the Usos. Alicia Fox comes out and whines about not being interviewed since she won the Diva's championship.  She then says it was not a fluke that she won the title at Fatal Four Way.

Match 5: Diva's Championship
Alicia Fox (c) vs Eve

Winner: Alicia Fox

Wade Barret comes out first for the "truce".  He then tells Cena that he needs to come out to shake hands and that nothing has been personal on their attacks.  Cena then comes out.  Barrett tells Cena that he is not in their future plans.  He goes on to say he wants to look to the future and move on.  He says the Nexus can make Cena's life easy or very hard.  Cena asks if he shakes hands its all over.  He then asks Barrett if he really wants the truce or if its just the GM's idea.  Cena says if they shake hands right now it stops.  Cena pulls away his hand and says why stop when they are having so much fund.  He then tells Barrett that he is going to take every Nexus member down in the future.  Barrett then says the fact he is standing in the ring is a testament that they could make it much worse on him if he doesn't shake hands.  Cena shakes his hand but then puts him in the FU but Nexus enters the ring before he can finish it.  Then one by one the 7 guys that helped Cena earlier come to help before the lower midcarders come out to help as well. The GM then sends an email, now with light effects.  The GM says that he wanted peace and if things don't stop there will be consequences.  Cena then puts one of the Nexus guys in the STFU, causing yet another email from the GM.  Then sets up a 7 on 1 handicap match next week against Nexus.  Cena then goes on to beat up Darren Young who is alone as the other Nexus guys have left the ring.  Probably as a brutal a beating allowed in PG WWE as Cena throws the ring steps into Young.  Then throws him over the announce table before turning it over on him.  Cena was cut during the altercation as the show fades to black.

Opening segment:

Show starts with Vince McMahon coming out to the ring.  He says due to the chaos at last nights PPV that Sheamus is the new champion.  He then blames Hart for what happened for dismissing Wade Barrett and NXT guys showing up in the main event.  He then says him being shaken up last week was no reason for him not to show up at the pay per view.  He then goes on to say he is relieving Bret Hart of his duties as GM and gives the most tame Your Fired speech from McMahon in the history of WWE.  He then says he is hiring a new GM for Raw that will be anonymous and will give the instructions via email to Michael Cole.  The GM then interrupts McMahon and Michael Cole announces that the NXT guys have been hired and will address the WWE fans tonight.  McMahon gets ready to leave, then Sheamus comes to the ring.  Sheamus says that this was not the way he wanted to have the WWE Championship.  He wanted to prove he truly was the best by beating the three top superstars in the Fatal 4 Way.  He then says he doesn't deserve the title and can't accept the championship and hands it to McMahon.  Then pulls it away from McMahon and says he will keep the title anyway.  Goes on to say it was a glorious opportunity.  Then thanks the NXT Seven for interfering in the match.  He then says that he really didn't need their help and could have won the match regardless.  He then says the only statement that was made was him winning the championship.  John Cena then comes out.  He comes out in a sarcastic manner thanking McMahon for hiring the new GM and tells Michael Cole to thank the new GM via email for hiring the NXT 7.  He then says he wants to invoke his rematch clause tonight on Raw.  Sheamus says he doesn't care what he wants.  Then he asks McMahon to ask Cena to leave then the GM sends an email that says that in the main event that Sheamus will defend the WWE Title against John Cena, which the crowd loves.  McMahon gets interrupted again by the email GM and that there will be a guest referee, Mr. McMahon.

Match 1: Evan Bourne vs. Chris Jericho

Before the match Jericho grabs the mic and says that he requested the rematch to make a statement.  He then says if he loses tonight he will leave the WWE forever.

Winner: Chris Jericho in a very excellent match via the Code Breaker

After the match Jericho helps Bourne up then shoves Bourne back down to the match.  This could turn out to be a very excellent feud.

In the back McMahon is in the back talking on the cell phone evidently to the new GM.  He then reminds him that surpises are cool, just not with him.  In another locker Virgil is sitting there and is talking to Ted and appologizes to him for his actions in the ring, but fires him and replaces him with Maryse.

Tod Grisham is with the Hart Dynasty.  He then asks what they think about Hart being taken out as GM.  They say its a discrace and that they vowed never to let that happen again.  In the back a limo pulls up and they goto commercial.

Match 2: Natalya vs. Tamina

Winner: No contest

During the match the NXT '7' come out and stop the match.  The Hart Dynasty attack two of the NXT guys but quickly get ganged up by the entire group before going to commercial.

In the ring David Otunga is appologizing for their actions the past few weeks, saying that they did it for their love of the WWE and would do anything for the contracts and had to resort to desperate actions.  Heath Ledger then says they are trying to say their sorry and that they have no problems with the WWE locker room and that nothing was personal.  Justin Gabriel apologizes to Bret Hart and the Hart Dynasty for attacking them tonight.  Darren Young then appologizes to John Cena and that they needed to make a statement by attacking the top guy in the WWE.  Skip Sheffield then appologizes to the fans.  He then tries to get the crowd to do his catch phrase to no avail.  Michael Tarver then appologizes to his children for what they've seen him do on TV.  Wade Barrett then grabs the mic, says the other guys did what they had to do.  He then explains why he risked his title shot by joining the other guys.  He said they decided a long time ago to stick together and not allow WWE management to dictate their careers.  He then says that their group has a bond that will never be broken.  He then says that his title shot has been reinstated.  He then says that Sheamus is only champion because of them.  He then says they can easially make Sheamus a target.  He then says that Sheamus will lose his title and that he will become WWE champion with no appologies.

Match 3: John Morrison vs. Ted DiBiase Zach Ryder

DiBiase says that he has better things to do so he found a replacement.  Zach Ryder comes out.

Winner: John Morrison via the Starship Pain

In the back John Cena addresses NXT's appology saying that apology not accepted and that it was personal.  McMahon then comes in and says that Cena will have no excuses as he will make sure the best man wins.

Match 4: Mixed tag team match
Eve & The Great Kalih vs. Alicia Fox & Primo

Winner: Eve & The Great Kalih

Randy Orton comes out to cut a promo.  He then says that its now only a matter of time before he punts each and every one of the NXT guys in the skull for interfeering in his match last night.  He then says he accepts Wade Barrett's appology and that he hopes that he does win the WWE Championship as Randy Orton will be the one to take it from them.  The Miz then comes out and says he's sick of seeing Orton in the main event all the time and sick of the Viper period.  He then says there is one thing he has never done and that something that no one has ever done before hold both the US Championship and WWE Championship at the same time and that Orton needs to go to the back of the line.  Miz then starts to beat down Orton but Orton turns the tide and gets ready to hit him with the RKO but escapes while Edge comes in and spears Orton.  Edge then grabs the mic and says the real fun now begins to Orton.

Match 5: WWE Championship Match with Special Guest Enforcer Vince McMahon
Sheamus (c) vs. John Cena

Before the end of the match the NXT guys come down and chase Sheamus off along with the announcers.  Then throw Cena over the announce table before throwing it on him.  McMahon just is looking on and grabs the mic heading to the ring.  He then tells the guys to stop and come on in guys.  He then reveals that he is partially responsible for the NXT guys.  He then says that next week the GM is going to reveal something.  However the NXT guys are staring McMahon down but they laugh if off before starting the stare down again.  They then circle McMahon this time in serious fashion.  McMahon looks for a way out but doesn't see one.  They then attack McMahon 7 on 1.  They then do the clothesline on McMahon while Wade Barrett does his finisher.  Then Justin Gabriel does his finisher, a version of a 450 splash before the guys leave the ring leaving McMahon laying unconsious in the ring.

Final thoughts:
The email GM was the worst GM since Mike Adamle, hopefully this has a better payoff.
It was interesting that McMahon seemed to be working with the NXT guys and even more so that they attacked him in an nWo style.
If it wasn't for the Jericho vs. Bourne match this would have been one of the worst Raw's from a wrestling standpoint of the year.
I really like what they are doing with Orton, Miz, & Edge.  Hopefully Miz gets the push out of that group.
I'm still thinking that Daniel Bryan's firing is a worked shoot which I will explain in my next collumn later this week.  Who knows he could be the "secret" GM.

WWE Raw Results 6/14/2010
Written by Tito    Monday, 14 June 2010 22:24    PDF Print E-mail

Show starts off with a video highlights of last weeks NXT beatdown of everyone, especially John Cena.

Opening Segment

Wade Barrett is in the ring.  He introduces himself as the winner of NXT.  He says that Bret Hart demanded that he apologize for his actions last week where he destroyed the ring.  He then calls out the rest of the NXT "athletes" to the ring (minus Daniel Bryan of course).  When they arrive King & Cole leave along with other WWE ringside officials.  Wade Barret goes down the line asking each guy to apologize, each says they would have done the same thing again and will not apologize.  Wade Barrett then says that the problem with NXT was they were treated like dirt and animals.  That WWE management set out to make an international joke out of them, but last week no one was laughing.  Bret Hart then comes out.  He says 8 on 1 doesn't make them tough but makes them cowards more than anything else.  Wade Barrett then says he kicked Daniel Bryan out of the group because he showed some remorse.  Hart then says John Cena will still make the 4 way match at the PPV.  Barrett says it has nothing to do with Cena, but instead its their beef with WWE Management.  Barrett then says he has a contract and title shot at the PPV of his chosing but the rest of the guys do not.  They demand guaranteed WWE contracts.  Hart says his answer is no that he is not going to sign any of those guys.  Hart says they made the biggest mistake of their life.  He then says that Barrett no longer is the next break out superstar and that he is fired.  He then demands that they get out of the ring or they will be arrested for trespassing.  They say that this is their chance and their time and they aren't leaving.

Evidently they did leave during the commercial break

Match 1: US Championship 4 way match

R-Truth (c) vs. John Morrison vs. Zach Ryder vs. The Miz

Winner: The Miz after John Morrison hit his "Starship Pain" on R-Truth and Miz threw him out of the ring and pinned Truth

In the back Josh Matthews is with Randy Orton.  Orton says anything can happen in a Fatal 4 Way match and that to watch what happens when he faces Sheamus later in the show.  He then says that the NXT guys either deserved to be fired or deserved to have their brains beaten in.

In the back the actor from Royal Pains is hitting on the Bella Twins, Ted DiBiase arrives.  He wants to be Co-Guest Host tonight, Mark says no.  He then mocks DiBiase even more when he sees Big Show standing behind him.  Big Shwo then sets up a tag match of Big Show & the actor vs Virgil & Ted DiBiase.

Match 2: Chris Jericho vs. Evan Borne

Winner: Evan Borne via DQ, he then hits the shooting star press on Jericho after the match

John Cena comes out to the ring to address what happened last week with the attack from the NXT "graduates". He thanks Bret Hart for not caving in to their demands and that their demands should not be put up for negotiation.  He said they were desperate and that he was their target as he is the WWE champion and he is used to being a target.  He said it was a bad move by taking away Raw from the WWE Universe and by disgracing the ring by tearing it apart.  He said that firing Barrett was not a solution to the problem.  He says he hopes they are watching as he is still standing in the ring and will do so every night demanding that they come in to the ring to finish this.  The NXT guys then start to come through the crowd.  He says that they took the target off their back and put it on their head, then a bunch of WWE guys come into the ring including the King, then all the WWE guys and NXT guys are starting to fight it out.  Randy Orton then coomes in and starts attacking the NXT guys.  Edge spears another NXT guy.  Sheamus then comes in and begins swinging the steel pipe.  The NXT guys are then chased out of the arena by the WWE guys.  Completely outpacing Mark Henry.

Sheamus is in the back and says he came to the aid of Cena against the NXT guys as he was not going to let anyone ruin his chance at the WWE championship and that if anyone was going to take out Cena it would be him.

Match 3: Divas Tag Team Match

Eve & Gail Kim vs. Alicia Fox & Maryse

Winners: Eve & Gail Kim when Eve pins Alicia Fox

Match 4: Tag Team Match

Big Show & Mark Feuerstien vs Ted DiBiase & Virgil

Winner: Big Show & Mark Feuerstein

Match 5: William Regal vs Santino Marella w/Vladimir Kozlov as guest referee

Winner: Santino Marella

After the match Bret Hart comes out and says he wants those three superstars to be on the stage with him as he doesn't want history to repeat itself again on his watch.  The rest of the locker room then comes out to join Bret.  I'm assuming they are going to guard against the NXT guys during the main event.

Match 6: Tag Team Match

John Cena & Randy Orton vs Edge & Sheamus

During what is a good match the lights go off and backstage the NXT guys are once again detroying everything then carry Bret Hart throwing him in a limo that drives off erratically running into multiple cars and objects.  They then leave Hart laying on the ground.

No contest.

Final thoughts:
This is one of the better angles the WWE has done in years and rivals the concept of the original NWO but rather than old guys taking over from another company its new guys taking over using the same concepts.
Someone big has to be behind the group whether its JR or even Vince McMahon himself.  Though that would be tough to explain since their beef is with "WWE Management".
This angle could have been so much better had they not fired Brian Danielson.
I still expect to see some regular WWE Superstar turn and join the group...
