Opening segment

Batista comes out complaining about being beat by Duct Tape at Extreme Rules in a Last Man Standing Match rather than being beat senseless the way the match is supposed to be and says that he should not only be the #1 contender but WWE Champion.  Says that Duct Tape is something that "Hornswoggle" would do.  Then he talks about the Beat the Clock Tournament between him and Cena with the winner chosing the stipulation.  Batista goes on to say it won't be a problem since he has The Miz as an opponet.  First though Sheamus comes out and calls Batista pathetic and that he did lose at Extreme Rules.  Sheamus then says he deserves to be in the championship match and not Batista then challenges Batista to a match with the winner facing Cena at Over The Limit.  Batista says he had his chance but he blew it and tells him to get out of the ring.  Sheamus tells Batista its not over and that he will be champion again sooner than Batista thinks.

Match 1: Beat The Clock Challenge Match

Batista vs The Miz Daniel Bryan

The Miz comes out and says he's unable to compete due to the Big Show's punch last week on Raw and comes out with a "doctors note" however says his rookie from NXT will take his place.Miz tells Bryan to last more than 30 seconds, Bryan says he'll do better and make Batista tap out.

Winner in 5:06.  Very good match and Dainel Bryan is showing a lot of promise  though still needs to work on mic skills.

After the match Batista continues to Batista Bomb Bryan multiple times.

In the back Eve is doing a photo shoot then guest host Wayne Brady comes in.  Jillian then comes in and says she will sing his theme song tonight.  Then Maryse comes in and attacks Eve with the title.  Edge is then talking to a producer about his Cutting Edge segment and making it jaw dropping.  Then Josh Matthews asks him about the segment, Edge talks about how WWE may be PG but he is rated R and that there needs to be controversy again.  Most honest thing said in wrestling in a long time.

Match 2: Ted DiBiase vs.John Morrison

DiBiase comes out with the Million Dollar belt and cuts a promo talking about how he is looking for his "Virgil" then talks about how R-Truth made a mistake by not taking his offer.  He then goes on to say that he has one bad song, "What's Up".  He then says he will hire an associate and that he will knock some sense into the wanna be rapper.  John Morrison comes out and the match begins.

Winner: John Morrison via countout

Morrison grabs the mic and says that is not the way he will debut on Raw.  He then challenges DiBiase to restart the match and says if he loses that he will be his "Virgil"

Match is restarted with the added stipulation.

Winner: John Morrison via pinfall

DiBiase then attacks Morrison after the match until R-Truth comes out for the save.

Match 3: Beat The Clock Time to beat 5:06

John Cena vs. Chris Jericho Wade Barrett

Jericho comes out and says he is not going to compete in the match not because Big Show also punched him but because he had beaten him time and time again already.  He then brings out his NXT Rookie Wade Barrett.  Barrett then tells Cena he's not going to beat him period.

Winner: John Cena with 27 seconds left on the clock.  Cena gets to choose the stipulations of the title match at Over The Edge.

Cena then grabs the mic and says he will anounce tonight what the match will be but before he can say anything Sheamus comes in and attacks him.

Match 4: Maryse vs Nikki Bella

Winner: Maryse via DDT

Maryse then grabs the mic to show pictures of her over a knocked out Eve from the photo shoot incident earlier in the night.  Even then comes out but is held back by the referee before she can reach Eve.

Zach Ryder comes out and talks about how he stayed on Raw and is now single so he can have two Diva's with him.  He then challenges Primo and does a stupid catch phrase.  Wayne Brady then changes the match to Mark Henry.

Match 5: Zach Ryder vs. Mark Henry

Winner: Mark Henry

The Diva's end up leaving with Henry.

Miz & Jericho are in the back sharing "war stories' about getting punched by Big Show.  Jericho says that him and Miz carried show for 16 months, then says he has a strategy.

In the back Vladimir Kozlov is talking to Wayne Brady saying that he's not foolish and given him propper competion, then Santino comes out dressed in 70's garb talking about how he wants to tag with Kozlov.  William Regal tells Vlad to ignore Santino.  Then Goldust comes out dressed in a maid's outfit and Wayne Brady asks if he is supposed to be Alice and Goldust asks "Who's Alice." Very stupid segment.

Match 6: Tag team non-title match

William Regal & Vladimir Kozlov vs. The Hart Dynasty (c)

Miz & Jericho join the announcers for this match and talk about their common bond in hating the big show.

Winner: The Hart Dynasty

After the match the Miz comes into the ring and David Hart Smith attacks him but is then attacked by Jericho.

Final segment: The Cutting Edge

Edge's guest is Randy Orton, the guy Edge cost the title shot for last week.  Edge grabs the mic  and says that the most controversial superstar is back (him).  He then talks about how getting drafted to Raw is why he attacked Orton as it took him out of his plan for the World Championship.   He then brings out Orton but Wayne Brady comes out to the Let's Make A Deal music.  He says he loves the WWE and is a huge wrestling fan all of his life.  He then asks to see if he can feel what it is like to walk in his footsteps.  Then goes on to cut a promo on the other guest hosts.  Randy Orton then comes out and stares down Edge and then stares down Wayne Brady.  Brady goes to give him a handshake and Orton RKO's him.  Edge then backs down and tells Orton that he's not going to RKO him tonight.  Edge then reminds him that they became a tag team the last time he was on this segment and then seems to ask him to team up again.  He then talks about how its not fair that Orton is over and that he is not World Champion.  He then demands that he join him as that spear was nothing compared to what could happen.  Orton responds by trying to RKO him Edge blocks him then gives him a boot.  Orton sells the injury turns around as Edge is midway through spearing him and gives him the RKO.  Pretty cool looking move.

Final thoughts:

Not a great Raw but not a horrible one either.  The guest host's role was minimized but still was a distraction.  I like the angle they are going with Ted DiBiase trying to find his "Virgil".  Too bad Orlando Jordan is in TNA as he did a good job in that role with JBL when he was doing the Million Dollar Man gimmick.  Daniel Bryan is going to be a decent star, though until he shows more personality he's Dean Malenko at best, a great wrestler but not that great as an entertainer.
