TNA Impact this week was a so-so effort as most of their taped shows seem to be.  Very little Hulk Hogan this week but there were a few things of note.

Show starts off with Hulk Hogan putting a guy he just met, Jay Lethal in charge as he won't be on the show tonight.

Night starts off with The Band coming out with Bubba The Love Sponge and Sixx-Pac & Hall wearing Bubba Army t-shirts.  Bubba cuts a promo on the fans saying they are nothing but sheep and marks...then says he is the spokesperson for "The Band".  Eric Young comes out and slaps Nash which leads to a beatdown, even from Bubba, though Young quickly throws him in a corner before the Band continues the beatdown.  Hardy & RVD come out to make the save, Bubba The Lovesponge runs the wrong way while trying to escape which was kind of funny and they set the main event for the night in the steel cage.

X-division tag match was ok, but nothing special.

Women's first blood match was horrible and probably the worse first blood match of all time.

Pope had a great promo and I may put him in as one of the top 3 in TNA and Top 10 in all of wrestling.  Also liked the fact he didn't fall for Desmond Wolfe's trap.  Great job.

What in the world was up with Orland Jordan.

Jarrett vs Styles was just ok, though some unintentional blood as AJ cut his hand open on Jarrett's guitar.  Also can we please end the Bischoff fued.

Not sure how having Jay Lethal beat one of your top tag teams helps push them...

Kurt Angle & Mr. Anderson have a very good fued going and its about the only consistent story in TNA right now.

Main event was good but way too short.  Looked like Young also unintentionally cut his hand.

Overall I'd give Impact a C this week, nothing horrible (other than Orland Jordan and Daffney's blade job) but nothing that great either, other than maybe the Pope's promo.

Quick results

Kazarian & Shannon Moore defeated Doug Williams & Brian Kendrick

Tara retained the title in a first blood match with Daffney

AJ Styles defeated Jeff Jarrett

Jay Lethal defeated Beer Money in a handicap match

Desmond Wolfe defeated The Pope

Eric Young, RVD, & Jeff Hardy defeated The Band
